Crazy Thing Called "LOVE"

I went to school earlier than usual to watch the basketball game between the College of Education and School of Law (as it is Sportsfest week). But the game was delayed because of the heavy downpour. So, to kill time, I watched a movie just within the school, which is part of the fund-raising of the Bar Operations Team.

For Thursday, they have three horror movies and three romance/rom-coms namely P.S. I Love You, _______, and a Thai Movie entitled A Crazy Little Thing Called Love. I came in late so I only got so see the last movie. But honestly, I've watched almost all the movies showing before except for three horror movies, which are The Amityville, The Night on Elm Street and Final Destination 5 (I don't think this is horror) and I'm not a bit interested in them. I'd rather watch the other movies again. ahaha! Moving on, what I really want to say is that I just love the movie "A Crazy Little Thing Called Love". I've watched it for I think more than 10 times already and I never get tired of it. The first was a year ago, I think, before it even became popular in school.

Why I like it:

1) Because everyone's been there. Done that.
2) Because it's funny, cute and witty.
3) Because it's a story of love and inspiration.
4) Because it makes you believe in love again.
5) Because the lead actor is MARIO MAURER! and yes, Pimchanok Lerwisetpibol is great and pretty too!

What's it all about:

The story revolves around a girl named Nam who is often referred to as "bug-faced" because she has dark skin, and well, ugly. She was secretly in love with Chone/Shone, a grade 10 senior who is the most popular guy in school - handsome (see it for yourself), sporty (he plays football), smart (there was once a scene where Chon's bestfriend asked him to tutor Nam), generous (just his character which you'll see in some parts of the movie) and talented (a gifted photographer). Instead of giving up because of fierce competition (LOL), she eventually used this feeling to improve and become better to win Chone over. This is a movie based on the true story of everyone.

I had to leave in the middle of the movie because of the basketball game. No biggie. I already had this downloaded and saved in my iPod. It's so convenient I can watch it anytime I want, anywhere. Thank Heavens for technology.

Enjoy!

gravity

I have been a solid WESTLIFE fan for years ever since their debut. I even have a complete collection of their albums - in cassette tape (cds were waaay expensive before for me). So, as the end of September comes, I can't help but feel sad because again, I would not be able to watch them perform live. This may be the only chance I'll ever have. But, as much as I want to, my circumstances would not allow me. (Sigh, the life a law student).

Westlife, while on their Gravity tour, is set to perform at Araneta Coliseum this September 29, 2011 at 8PM. I researched how much the tickets are and I got this: P4 500 (Patron), P3 000 (Lower Box), P2 500 (Upper Box A), P1 500 (Upper Box B) and 600 (General Admission). Oh well, just refer to the poster below!

bcos every filipina's worth it

While wasting time doing nothing, I bumped into Anne Curtis' new L'oreal Paris Total Repair 5 TVC 2011. Anne is the first Filipina endorser of L'oreal, and I think there's no other person more fitting than her. As for the usual, she looks beautiful and fabulous.  A friend told me in Twitter that the said TVC made her patronize the product! She was quite convince it'll help her damaged hair. I really cannot blame her because when the L'oreal Paris Total Repair 5 was first announced, I already knew I had to use the shampoo and conditioner. That was a year or two ago, I guess. I'm still using L'oreal Shampoo and Conditioner up to this moment but I switched from Total Repair 5 to Smooth Intense.

Here's the new TVC, which I think is nothing but FAB!

ANNE CURTIS
for L'oreal Paris Total Repair Five (5)

I also happened to come across other L'oreal Paris TVCs of no other than Gwen Stefani, J. Lo and Beyonce.  But of course, these three have done several L'oreal ads in the past.

GWEN STEFANI
for L'oreal Superior Preference Hair Color

J. LO
 for L'oreal Ever Sleek

BEYONCE
for L'oreal Feria Hair Color

Ah, Beautiful people.

PUPIL - 20/20

I am a Filipino, and I'm proud to be one. But since I'm not much into music, I rarely get updated for what's in. My iPod was last updated last year, which technically should not be called "update-d" since it's so downdated. About 80%-90% of the songs were from years ago. And not much OPM, either. However, I promise to start patronizing Filipino songs more. To prove that, here's a song from one of the best bands in the country now. Actually, I just wanted to write something about this video and song. I got LSS that I can't help but share it.

I wish that I could see the world thru your eyes
I wish that I could see the world thru your eyes

You zipped thru the stars in a silver shopping cart
Fueled by your faith in miracles
You tend to your garden an eden with a twist
Where the animals and angels recreate

I wish that I could see the world thru your eyes
I wish that I could see the world thru your eyes
I wish that I could see the world thru your eyes
I wish that I could see
[ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/p/pupil/2020.html ]
You were born without a care
You fly where eagles dare
Day or night rain or shine makes no difference
You've learned to forgive all our sins
You receive all things without hate

I wish that I could see the world thru your eyes
I wish that I could see the world thru your eyes
I wish that I could see the world thru your eyes
I wish that I could see

You came and offered me a holding company
And you gave away your shares for free
And though it was a sad affair
You just couldn't care
All you could think about was letting go

I wish that I could see the world thru your eyes
I wish that I could see the world thru your eyes
I wish that I could see the world thru your eyes
I wish that I could see
